OOC: Okay, the other stuff never happened.

BIC: Upon noticing the steaming mug, the woman's eyes suddenly brighten, and she reaches for the hot liquid. She takes a long draught, and suddenly, her pale skin seems darker and her cheeks a bit less flushed. Her strength seems to be returning.

In a tired voice, she speaks. "Oh, that hit the spot... Frionian hot chocolate from the Inn, I tell you, that stuff is magical..."

She turns towards Sakai, with a grateful smile on her face.

"Thank you so much, young man, for bringing me that drink. If you hadn't been here to save me, I don't know how much longer I would've lasted..."

[Bashae]

Reikin sighs.
"People are always one step ahead of us aren't they?" Reikin mutters.

[CongressJon]

The crone looks over to Krytos, and smiles.

"Oh, that's quite alright young man, you still made a nice attempt."

[obiwan22]

Sakai says, "So what happened m'lady?"

[CongressJon]

"My party and myself had been travelling for about a week. We were sort of... gypsies, you could say, I suppose. But then... the highwaymen came. They were merciless, killing everyone except myself. We were on the High Road... and I ran for miles upon miles, until I got here. I was so tired and exhausted... I just lay down for a while."

A frightened look suddenly comes over her.

"Oh know! I've just remembered! In our covered wagon on the High Road, I left something very important behind! My family jewels... Priceless diamonds and rubies, imbedded in earings and necklaces... I can't believe I left them..."

[Bashae]

Reikin begins stroking his chin as if there were a beard there.
"I doubt that there is anything left, but if I may, I will try look for them for you."

[CongressJon]

The crone's eyes brighten.

"Oh, would you! That would be wonderful... But I must warn you, there is a chance that the highwaymen are still there... and that could be quite dangerous."

[Bashae]

"I will do my best," Reikin smiles, "Let's move," he calls out to Krytos. They leave the crone's location.

[CongressJon]

The woman smiles and waves as the two disappear into the snow.

Sakai follows the pair away, waving to the old crone as he goes.

Sakai enters and says to the old crone. "We defeated the highway men, and we found a safe inside of an old wagon. I tried dragging the safe back to you. But it was too heavy. Is the safe yours?"

[Ferret Overlord]

"I found your safe, old hag. Some fool tried to open it and got thrown accross the wagon. The guy who got thrown was mumbling what you told him. Why weren't you killed? Something to hide?"

FO draws his scythe. His shade stands at the ready by his side. He feels himself slipping into a deep sleep. He realizes his soul has to be taken for a scouring soon.

OOC: My fancy way of explaining why I'm not gonna be here in game. Be sure to share the loot with me! ^_^

[Bashae]

Reikin, Krytos and a Wind Elemental see the man holding the scythe. Reikin quickly knocks him out of the way with a blast of wind.
"If that scythe comes anywhere near her, I'll be sure that it's a lot stronger that," he glares at him. Krytos steps forward.
"I tried opening the lock using the green sensor but I was knocked back. I'm assuming it's a magic lock of some sort... One that will only open by the one who casted the spell initially.
