Okay.. so, I said I'd start being more active. BAM! People want me to do stuff with them. So, I do stuff, come back, say I'll be active. BAM! Bogged down by work. Say I'll be active.. BAM! Parents decide to do some big repair project/ groundwork outside.

Okay, so, I finally had my week off to do stuff, and then...

BAM! Buttloads of rain hit Saskatchewan, namely Saskatoon, and my basement ends up flooded.

Again.

Only this time, it was deeper water. Like, ankle deep water. Like.. my foot was submerged water. Anyway, so, we managed to bail water out of the laundry room, only to find my room soaked. Luckily I put up my computer when I saw the laundry room.. but..

****!

My whole room was essentially wrecked. Need new carpet (My parents decided to let this one dry outside in the dirt and crap, though...) A lot of my stuff was damaged, have to wait so I can put everything back into my room.. HELL! THis sucks sad.gif This happened yesterday. We were bailing water out for hours. Freaking rain.

Anyway, just posting so all of you know that the higher beings hate me. DAMN YOU NON-DENOMINATIONAL REIGIOUS FIGURE!

I won't be on for awhile.. not until I get my room ack and it stops smelling like a lake with a shipload of bleach in it.. I have to sleep on the couch (NOT FREAKING CONFORTABLE!) And.. yeah.

On the upside, The Aries K, which I thought was out of commission, is in good condition ^_^ Now I need a license, and to fix up a few things on it...

I feel your pain =(

Our basement was flooded last week during a thunderstorm. We managed to get our t.v. and telephones to dry land, but its a real pain. Most of western/ mid-eastern Canada is feeling this sad.gif

Oh yeah, plus here, the mosquitoes are breeding in all of the flood pools... Geuss how many bites I have on my back! 18!!! Argh! Itching all the time.

Hehe, that's nothing Serena. One time Xali counted all of his mosquito bites, only last week or so, and he had over 100 >.<

Ferret and I both live in Pittsburgh (I think), and I know exactly what he's talking about when he got flooded in September. I live up on top of a big hill. It's immune to any non-biblical flooding (and most other status effect magic), but walking up it from the bus stop every day sucks.

Well, good luck fixing that up, Zolly. I can't wait for you to get back so we can finally get me going on Darkstorm.

Really sorry to hear that, Zolon. sad.gif

Australia has been in a pretty severe drought for quite a few years now. Then in the last two days, huge areas have been flooded quite badly. Up in New South Wales (closer to where Final lives than where I do) they had half a meter of water in two days. Cars were like half-submerged in water on the street, fully grown men were waist-deep in water. Not good. icon_sweatdrop.gif

It's okay where I am, but I feel sorry for all those who have a tendency to get flooded. I'm like Alpha, I've on the top of a hill... It's really steep on one side, and it's cliff on the opposite side. I'm really close to the river on both those sides, but it's never likely to flood where I am.

To quote a movie...

QUOTE
My sympathies, friend. You've no manner of luck at all.

My only flooding experience was an exploding toilet at our hotel in DC -- I can only assume your experience sucks even more than ours did. Good luck with getting things fixed/ replaced/ dehydrated.

Hey, even if you don't have a place to stay... at least you can go on the road trip thumb.gif

I dunno if it has ever flooded where I am... Oh, wait! 'Cross the street from me, there is the other side of the street with houses and stuff. Just after that is the Carmel River! That floods sometimes and the houses close to the river get flooded >.< But we on the other side of the road biglaugh.gif (Phi might know what river I'm on about bluetongue.gif )

We've flooded before... at least two big ones in the last year, like Ferret said...

Evil.

Oh, and Alpha! Ferret doesn't live in Pittsburgh...
