We've had this suggested before and decided not to because having all those absent accounts doesn't really hurt us at all. Plus, there's the chance of them returning later on realizing they still have an account here (has happened before).
I agree that those kinds of names should be deleted of course since we know it's just an alternate account that's offensive to the forums.

When another admin or I have some time to do it we'll clear out the obvious alts used to get around bans, like the ones with offensive names and everything.
As for actual members, they don't hurt us to keep their names available. Clearing them would give no benefit, while on the other hand could be enough to keep a potential returning member from actually returning. Like when someone comes on casually just to check around, he/she would be more likely to log in and stay for a longer time as a result of keeping the name available than bothering to re-register because the name was deleted. It is just an unnecessary annoyance for some that wouldn't really solve any problems for us.
For some boards clearing inactive members is necessary to keep the database smaller, but that isn't really a concern here at the moment. So we just let them sit in the case that some come back.

Only the very active forums that support games like RSC, RV, RS HQ, etc. would probably have a reason to delete inactive members since they have no problem getting new ones.

The extra accounts don't take up any space, and there have been quite a few examples of people joining up, only posting once or twice, and returning months later to become valued members of SeeD.
There just isn't any particular need to delete accounts that haven't posted, and it might discourage people if they found the link again, came back and found their account gone. I know in that kind of situation I wouldn't bother re-registering, I'd just leave.
