As a professional actor to another actor (Don't know your previous experience, so don't feel belittled.) I tend to just ignore mics....I'm usually loud enough, but if not, or if they just think I'm not, then I just ignore them...Once you do enough plays you tend to not care what the audience does or reacts...Just remember, if you're playing a comedic role, pause for the laughter or applause. DO NOT smile...Pause in place and start up again, remain stead fast with your composure. If you're playing a dramatic role, make sure you pause for any screeches, 'Ooh's' or 'Aah's'. Remember, if you're in a crowd, to make looots of people noises... "AAH!" "OOH!" "HIM!" "*gasp!*" "Huh?" "Mumblemumblemumble" Just do anything....And now that I'm done being a mean ol' director...Enjoy the play! ^^
