Please only vote if you're in the GW faction and have reached Lion's Arch to see them (to visit them just talk to the guy on the ship in Lion's Arch). grnwink.gif

Also, since we'll need to come to some agreement, feel free to post other ones you also like.

In order of favorite to least favorite...

- Nomad's: In my opinion it's cool and probably unusual compared to what most guilds would have. Assuming that battles take place in the guild halls (which I think they do), if we get used to it we could potentially have a strategic advantage when other guilds bring the battle to us. It's also really open. In terms of its looks, I also think it's pretty neat. With the flags displaying our banner (which I think they will), from a distance the whole place would look like a big hidden outpost of sorts. It also seems like the majority of the battle area would be surrounded (visually) by our hall instead of being in front of it.

- Wizard's: Not a whole lot to say about it, I think it looks pretty cool. The terrain doesn't look all that unusual though, and it seems to be lacking a little size compared to the others. But it's still probably a decent hall in my opinion.

- Frozen: It seems pretty big and open, this may be tied with Wizard's in my opinion.

- Hunter's: In my opinion it seems like a slight alteration of a Wizard's hall. Not a lot to say about it though, it is what it is. I find it pretty cool, but it's not my favorite.

- Warrior's: It's pretty cool, but it seems to be lacking uniqueness. Of what I've seen, this seems to be a very typical hall for a lot of guilds, and in my opinion that's a little bit of turn-off to me. It also seems to be leaning a bit toward the warrior side of things in terms of design, and while I don't mind (my two characters both have warrior in their template), it may not fit the all-around nature of our faction. That may just be me though. It also seems a little... plain. Dunno.

- Druid's: It's big and appears to have a lot of paths and things, but unfortunately doesn't seem as open. In terms of its look, it would probably fit a ranger guild really well, but I don't know that it would fit an all-around guild like ours.

- Dead: Dunno, the whole undead thing doesn't really appeal to me unless I'm destroying it. bluetongue.gif

- Burning: I'd rather not have a guild hall that looks like it could collapse at any moment. grnwink.gif

No wonder I never knew that was there, it took me a while to find.

I like the Frozen one.
Nomads would be cool if the big arena in the middle wasn't quicksand. That's a pretty annoying effect you get when you're in there. Slower movement, and you lose one energy when you attack or use a skill..

Hmm, that's true. With the frozen one though, there is a large area of ice that severely slows you down if you stop moving while on it. I think those are the only two with status-affecting terrain. Of the two, I think the ice effect may be more of a problem, but that's just me.

Dead is my favourite, it has a really epic feel to it with all the candles and murals and stuff.

I really like the look of Nomad's, but I think I'd have to vote against it. If battles happen within the quicksand, that's really going to play havoc with things. I was hoping to use the guild hall to train ourselves up as far as teamwork goes, so I think we'd want something less distracting. Losing energy for attacking or using skills is evil. icon_sweatdrop.gif

Frozen might be possible, it looked like only part of the arena was ice. I was only quickly surveying them all, so I could have gotten stuff arong about both of them. There were a few others I thought were okay, but their names elude me right now.

On the subject of 'frozen', I attached an ice damage upgrade to my hammer. biglaugh.gif

I understand what you're saying, but the quicksand doesn't consume the entire arena by any means. There is a large area without it around where the portals are (has a couple ledges and wraps around the whole arena), and perhaps the quicksand can be used to our advantage if we trap the other side against it. Like with the frozen one, the stat-affecting terrain is in the middle of the fighting area, but doesn't necessarily have to be where the battle happens.

I personally think the area is similar, the arenas are just configured differently. The frozen one seems to be more complex, and the nomad's one seems to be more open. In terms of tactics though, I would think that moving 70% slower on ice would be a little more inhibiting (and it can't really be avoided unlike the quicksand), but that could just be me. I still like both halls though, just getting nitpicky. bluetongue.gif

I didn't realise about the ice slowing you down thingy str.gif

I really liked the dead one too, at first, but it may be a bit too complex... all the narrow halls and stuff aren't all that good for fighting. But the big rooms would really be cool. biglaugh.gif

I dunno, I s'pose they all have their bad oints. I don't really mind what we go with...I'll get used to whatever we get grnwink.gif

The Dead one does look cool in ways, but I'm leaning more toward those which are more open.

In terms of the places having downsides, I agree in a way. However the Wizard's, Hunter's, and Warrior's seem to be pretty open and I don't think they have any annoying terrain. Of the three (if we go with them) I think I like the Wizard's and Hunter's the most.

(.. And there aren't any I really dislike, btw. Just throwing points around, I'll be fine with any that is chosen.)

I like Isle of the Dead, but my favourite more open one is Hunters' Isle.
