There has been some confusion lately, and I thought that I'd clear a few things up:

- No spamming in the Insanity Board that is above the level of typing in a single letter or number will be closed or deleted (unless its content is questionable). Single word replies there are fine if they make sense.

- Spam topics in forums that do not allow spamming should be moved to the Insanity Board. Do not close or delete them unless their content is questionable.

- Spam replies (I mean true spamming...) where spamming is not allowed can be deleted if done to a large extent. Do not delete single spam replies if they at least make sense. If the replies are completely off topic, you may delete them.

- In general, DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING unless it's obscene or just wrong... Closing the thread is the best way to handle a thread that isn't obscene.

Hope this clears some things up. TheSmile.gif

Note: Do not move this to the mod forum.

In my opinion everyone values their post counts too much.  bluetongue.gif

I know of two successful boards that allow posts to count in similar forums, people spam there like crazy and nobody cares.  If anything, the Insanity Board seems to change the mood of the board and makes it seem lighter and more enjoyable.  But due to the fact that certain mods aren't sure about what belongs there, I will disable the posts there from counting.

As a result of this change, everything posted there that isn't going to start a conflict, isn't obscene, and isn't flaming others must not be moderated.  If you wish to post one letter or number replies, go right ahead if you really want to...  I hope this clears a few things up though.  TheSmile.gif

What should we do about individual flaming and spam in a topic? bluetongue.gif Even if the topic is going ok.

I have heard from someone (I think you know who) that obscene topics should be closed so they can be... examined.

I think we should delete them, but also save them to our computer, so then we can send them to him when he wants them.

With the new rules to the insanity board, you should make all posts their not count towards post count. If I wanted i could easily get my count up 50-100 a night just mindlessly spamming on the insanity board like some people are doing (just go get the count up).

One quick question for Cspace--

Is there any way to disable the Insanity Board from the search field? I press the View New Posts button every time I sign in, and the result is often 12 pages of spam.gif . I of course wade through all of it in order not to miss something important, but I would rather not have to. Is there any way that an option to not search certeain boards could be implemented?
