Hehehe... here's something interesting you guys may want to see: something interesting...

I'm sure somebody's just driving the price up to teach the guy a lesson...

Or maybe it's a JaGEx employee...

Hmm....

*Ponders vacantly*

*Is startled*

Oh, um, well, anyway...

$10,100? That guy's gonna be going insane with happiness until JAGeX (I presume) revels their prank and sues the crap out of him...

I doubt it, considering account sales and character sharing are illegal and grounds for an immediate ban.

He probably doesnt even have 2 accounts, maybe you should send this link to Jagex. If he does have those accounts (very unlikely), it'd be very funny when they are both banned.

He also admitted he account shares.

Because they're absolutely INSANE!!!!!!!

Actually, through my time on Ebay, I have seen multiple account sellers, the highest being about... I think 3 or 500.

Still at 15,099....

This is illegal.

Lol, does the last bidder HAVE to pay the money? Or can they step out? Heh, I usually don't go on Ebay, only have a few times, so I don't know any of this.

I'm pretty sure they have to... I don't know exactly what legal action eBay can take, but they're pretty serious about hoaxes and such.

Cow said it best... the accounts are JAGeX's property. Getting an RS account, free or members, is like renting it from JAGeX. It's illegal to sell something you don't own, therefore they can be sued.

Even though I don't like Gower, someone should still send this in. I have seen many other things for sale on Ebay that are in runescape. The person that hacked IKILLNOOBZ is selling her stuff on Ebay too.

No-- ebay doesn't require any verified personal information to register, so you can basically register with fakeaccount@hotmail.com or whatever e-mail you want to use. I've seen this kinda stuff happen with other things, where someone intentionally drives the price up to keep the item from selling. There's an interesting little discussion on it here.

Now this is really crazy. Who would've thought that Runescape would be so popular (i mean just look at the last bid)? I'd rather work my character up to there.

You know, that person could get 10 years for credit card fraud. There are any instances where police go undercover to stop people like that. If that person uses members from someone else's credit card, they can go to jail and pay a hefty fine.

Someone should email that link to Jagex grnwink.gif
