I saw the movie. Sure it was good but it could've been better. If only it had more FF stuff like monsters, swords... you know, the good ol' FF stuff

The film itself blows majorly and isn't worth a second look. Despite the lack of indepth character development and decent plot it had, and still has amazing graphics. The only reason it was called Final Fantasy: Spirits Within was because it was a project undertaken by Squaresoft the company and also had some Final Fantasy production staff working with it also. Also another reason it's called Final Fantasy: Spirits Within is because of the actual marketable name factor due to its popular game. I mean which would sell more; Final Fantasy: Spirits Within or Chocobo Dungeon: Spirits Within?

I saw it, it was alright. The graphics were frankly amazing, with some good visual effects. The plot wasn't so good though and the movie didn't really flow very well. As for not having to do with FF, since when does one game have to do with the last game. They're all completely unrelated in any case. Doesn't even have to be the same theme (7 + 8 were tech based, quite strange).

Poor Squaresoft, having their amazing creation put down by a plot-less movie.
