These planks appear to be suitable for a sea vessel, although there is no logical location for a port in these hazardous waters. There is also some rope nearby that does not appear that old; perhaps someone looted the parts from a shipwreck here and built a makeshift raft... But why risk launching from such a dangerous location?*
