Nixon was pretty good. He continued peace treaties with China. The part that brought him down was Watergate. People too arrogant to look at his achievements think that Watergate was the only thing he did.

Nixon was a fairly good president, its unfortunate that watergate ruined his term. As for harding, I'd say he's up there.

That was William Henry Harrison. During his innaguration, he refused to wear a coat (mind you, this takes place in January) because he wanted to show the American people he was a strong, resiliant leader. He caught a cold and died 30 days later. Irony?

He was the governor of the Indiana Territory though, and we Hoosiers don't need coats coolgleamA.gif . I'd say the worst president was Herbert Hoover. He led the country into the Great Depression and FDR had to get us out. The president I dislike the most is Bill Clinton though.

The president after Abe Lincoln. He was arrogant and made slavery rules harsher.

I say nixon because of the watergate scandal, that was a really big thing back then and still is today. Imagine if someone like Bush pulled a scandal like that. eek4.gif

Andrew Johnson was nearly impeached, he and Bill Clinton were the only presidents to go through an impeachment trial (Nixon would've if he hadn't resigned bluetongue.gif ).

Andrew Johnson was impeached. Impeach has no effect of removal from office, but it is the first step.

Also, in my opinion, Andrew Jackson was definitely one of our worst presidents. Some hail him as a hero, I consider him to be a disgrace to the office of the president and a criminal far worse than Nixon. In 1830, Jackson championed a piece of legislation that forcibly evicted all the indians east of the Mississippi. The cherokee nation took this to court and the Supreme Court of the United states of America declaired this action UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Jackson's response? "John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it." And thus we have the trail of tears, the long and deadly journey of the cherokee nation where 1 in 4 of their people died.

I thought he was just one vote away from being impeached. eek7.gif
