As to where i've been:
To start off, I was ill with the flu. Honestly, I don't know if i'm completely over it even now. Not that it's bad, but GEEZ it's annoying! Only reason I have time to type this is because my coworkers threw me out of work since i've been coughing a lot. That's fine, because what I have now just sounds bad, but isn't.
After that around the second week of December I was called by my old boss from hallmark. Hallmark was my first real job and we've always worked well together so when he asked if I wanted to work some hours I said sure. I did miss the retail business a bit and i've always wanted to own a store one day... the fact that I needed to pay for next semester's tuition kind of solidified my decision.
Everyone was happy to see me back. I was real happy to see some familiar faces as well. One of them came up to me and said, "Remember, you did this to yourself, you asked for it" and those words rang in my head until New Years Eve.
It was So Busy! I've worked Christmas for three years and i've never seen the volume of people that hit us ever before. A new mall was built in the city so we expected that customer traffic would not be as much as last year. Nope, that wasn't the case. One of the customers who had shopped at the store for 27 years said it was the absolute busiest time in all 27 years.
There were some new faces at Hallmark, all with supposively Some experience. One was a sister of one of my old coworkers who moved on(talker...), one was a daughter in law of one of the owners(and acted like it too... hate princesses), and one I didn't recognize(but she worked hard). I'll get into it sometime later.
My last day was New Years Eve and now with all the family stuff done, i've got a little time for myself... at least until the Nyquil kicks in, then it's byebye.
