Happy WEMas all!
No crown and staff for me this year. Instead, a friend and I just printed out this greeting card and stuck it in our fedoras.
Still gets attention, anyway. I've also got all seven pages of A Winter-een-mas Story printed out, bound, and tucked in my backpack to show the curious observers.
I was going to set aside one game a day for WEMas, but since I'm computerless and can't install stuff on this one, I'm waiting a bit. The list:
Action/ Adventure/ Platform: Indiana Jones and his Desktop Adventures. Ahh. A great if simple game, which fit on a single floppy to boot. And adventures were generated randomly, making for infinite replay value.
First-person Shooter: Half-life. Noooo, it's not because I don't have Half-Life 2. It's... uh... because it's a classic. Yeah.
Fighter: Actually, I don't own any fighters. Sad, really. I was either going to bribe my way into a friend's house to play, or just be illegal and piratey and download an emulator and Street Fighter or something
Real-time Strategy: Age of Empires II.
I suck at it, but yet I enjoy it so.
Racing: Star Wars: Episode 1: Racer. Slightly cheesy and not very challenging (I can get first place on most tracks in one try), but fun and speedy.
Roleplaying: Guild Wars. I was hoping to treat myself to a copy.
Sports: See also "Fighter." I don't own any! (I really need to get a console system...)
Oh, and over the weekend, I'm considering making a small paper statue of Jack Thompson (well, a stick figure with a printout of his face) and setting it aflame. But of course, he's a law person and he'd sue me. On the other hand, I don't care.
Happy Winter-een-mas again.

Happy Wintereenmas, all!
I've actually got a broken Ps2 controller lying around, so I might try to make myself up a sceptre or something.

That is ACTUALLY a good idea. I'm making a game sceptre now! Yayy!
