Who has access to the statistics of where members go and how many daily hits come to CurvedSpace? Not you. I can promise that many view the forums, though who would want to register for a dead forum? That is why it is dead. I would have brought it back if I had the required hours every week to maintain everything, but without this time it would remain the same. You didn't register for it (not that it seems that you're interested in a gaming site after everything you said anyway), and even if you were interested you probably wouldn't. Trust me, even I wouldn't, but when the forums are active again these lost members won't go away if they're after an active community. Notice that I said "growth", not "transfer" (in relation to both CurvedSpace and SeeD).

if anything the combination with curvedspace will only keep more members from joining because those who are just looking for a clan wont want to join a gaming community infact SeeD is made up of a tightly nit group of peope who have been here for a long time....who here has joined in the last 2 weeks??.....were's all the new members that SeeD's supposed to be getting because of this combination?......
If you even looked at CurvedSpace, you will see that we have not combined any more than implementing a similar layout and posting a link to SeeD. Before that we still had a link to SeeD... no, many links to SeeD. There is the banner, the link under "Runescape" in the gaming section, the affiliated sites section... not to mention the number of times it was mentioned in the news...
If you also read what I wrote (check the link above the forums...) you will see that I specifically said that members won't suddenly come. But those who do sign up for the forums will naturally be interested in SeeD, and as CurvedSpace grows, SeeD should as well.
Also, as I said above, we have not yet combined fully. For heaven's sake, we were always on the same server, we're just now linked directly from the linkbar and have the same basic layout. Please keep comments like the above to yourself until we actually finish everything...

although i dont see how a clan could thirve with members and even a leader who openly admit to the almost complete inactivity of SeeD in runescape without trying to do anything about it besides tell the members that its there job and not even attempt to help them.....sorry for ruining your SeeD is great proaganda post but there's no denying that everything i said is true...
Wait a minute...

Look who brought this up.
Anyway, I would like you to quote where I said that SeeD was inactive. I've posted many messages about our activity not unlike the following (in the "How to Join" guide I wrote):
QUOTE
Don't complain about "inactivity", for it is only the perception of the numbers on the forums. Over 200 registered for the Member Manager in two months... They registered themselves and only about 10 were pre-registered at that time. The largest clan we know of (single clan, not alliance like E.A.R.T.H.) has 260 members. If you begin to think about our inactivity, think about that. Remember that there are a number of time zones, a number of older members come back, and every time I turn off my PM block I am swamped by messages. :-)
Also, when you say that I don't attempt to help our members with this, you're completely wrong. When I say that it is up to the members, I'm telling the truth. The second I start pushing activity the clan will naturally experience a large amount of tension. It is a game, how can I push people to play it? Also, if you consider recruiting "helping" the clan, maybe you should read about what happened when we tried openly recruiting in 2001. The clan would not be above 100 members if we pushed recruiting. Instead we push enjoyment and allow anyone to recruit their friends. How can the clan be enjoyable if it isn't in the members' hands?
Also, I posted that months ago (maybe you didn't realize the situation at that time). When members begin fighting with each other over personal matters, there is unfortunately not much I can do.
I am not coming down on criticism at all, for it is the only way that I can see what everyone would like in the clan. You are beginning to come down on the clan though, and if you continue I can assure you that a conflict WILL arise. This is very similar to a few conflicts in the past, one resulting in that post you were talking about (me placing the power of running the clan in the members' hands). I do not mind if you post criticism, BUT IF A CONFLICT ARISES AS A RESULT OF THIS I WILL NOT HESITATE TO BAN YOU. Just a notice; if I were you I would not involve the actions of the clan in your criticism (criticize me, my ability to lead, or my site all you want, I don't mind and maybe improvements will come about as a result). But watch it when and if you bring the clan's members into this, for I will not tolerate anything which brings down other members. Not that you really have so far, but I don't want it to go that far.
