You can only poison: Daggers, Arrows, and Throwing Knives(I think. I never tried, but it seems logical). All they do is make the weapon have a random chance to poison. The poison wears off eventually, but you can cure yourself with either a poison cure pot or poison antidote. The only difference is that antidote also makes you immune for a period of time(useful for getting past hordes of poison spiders or scorps). Anything else you need to know?

They are also used for arrows, and spears
Weapon poison needs something around 60 herblaw to make (one use only), You need Kwarm leaves and Crushed Dragon Scales.
