A Warning To A Few Members: Please Read

Ok, we let some things go for a little bit, thinking the 'new' factor for some members may go away and things would calm down. However, a few newer members are continuing to post for the sake of posting. This normally isn't bad if there is something legitimate to discuss, but some of this is getting old. Really fast. Some of us need to take a step back and smell what's happening.
For those who have been spewing posts and threads around for Gil, it's becoming rather obvious and is ticking off many of our other members. This place is for discussions and otherwise worthwhile interaction with people all over the world, but obvious or pointless topics can get in the way when they're posted everywhere. For those who legitimately use the forums for discussions, not for getting Gil, I don't know what happened but in the past week-or-so things have gotten rather hectic.
There are a few members who I won't name that are a particular worry when it comes to this.
However, this hasn't really been necessary before, but members who obsessively post can be silenced when it becomes a problem.
This means that such members can view threads and use the arcade and everything, but they cannot post for a specific amount of time.
We are going to have to resort to this if it continues. This also applies to those posting on alts. We are capable of matching accounts to tell if someone has more than one, and if they would be a problem in the case of them being consolidated, that could result in the devoicing of all of that member's accounts.
Also, some... A few... Have been retaliating. They are thinking that this change is permanent and are sacrificing themselves to take these members down with them. It's not worth it and things will stabilize from their perspective.
**********************************************
We really don't want to have to do this but we will if this continues for much longer. Also, for those attacking the confused members, you are not immune from the normal guidelines and we ask that you don't do something impulsive that you'll regret later when things go back to normal.
I'm posting this in GD and moving it to Announcements, so a link is in both forums. This is effective within three hours of this post, and I hope those to whom this pertains can calm down.
(and no specific members are to be addressed here)

Kids at school sometimes use the same computers out in the commons area.
Yeah..it may show the persons ip but sometimes you may accuse some people before you are a 100% sure that they are the same person.
Think about the schools

To be quite frank we can EASILY figure out if it is a school IP address, so yes we are thinking about the schools and so we always make sure before accusing -- however we always look into situations to make sure the person isn't lying (a reminder, no specific members will be addressed here).
