I'm planning on getting my level 8 or 9 W/Mo that is pre-searing to a higher level, like 14 or so. I wanna make a super-strong pre-searing character to attract new, potential members. To do this, I'm gonna need some help from a monk. Anyone wanna help me with this little project of mine?

Well, n00bs will flock to such a relatively high level in droves. Our ranks will expand quickly and we'll got lots more members. Sure, they'll be n00bs, but I think they'll be worth the investment. So, anyone wanna help?

Alpha, I'll train a newbie Monk up to level 10 (level I know you can get without help from a partner) in pre-searing to help however I can only really help out in the weekends due to our different timezones and me having school now. icon_sweatdrop.gif

It should be real fun. biglaugh.gif

However we have to make sure the new guys are nice and laid back and stuff. bluetongue.gif

Need any help from a Ne/Me?
This was totally out-dated.
Now it's updated.
I think?
Yeah.

Well a strong character in Pre-searing would indeed be useful, I'm not sure I grasp how you can get more exp by partying than you can solo. I know that the idea is to ignore all quests until the monsters there no longer give experience, but how does a monk help that?

A Monk will help by keeping another character alive when that person goes to fight the Charr in the Northlands. It's quite good however the exp in the end does die out. However you can end up soloing once you've gotten the max with a party member and you have enough stat points to have strong skills.

The way I did it when I was solo with my Elementalist, I just kept fighting the level 3 monsters in the Catacombs (I know there are level 5 monsters outside the Northlands but I don't like having to area change everytime for one monster) until I hit level 9, then I just did all the quests to get me to level 10 and a half. bluetongue.gif

Someone once told me that if you allow a monster to kill you enough times, they will level. And then you have to find a way to kill them in order to receive an exp boost of some sort. I don't know though! Never had the patience to try that first hand... sounds a bit insane grnwink.gif

Sounds like the kind of prankish rumour that gets spread around so that people let themselves be killed. bluetongue.gif

Actually, I read in Computer Gaming World that this is true. I read it in a guide to "Getting to Level 20 in Pre-Searing." In order to do this, you do certain quests in a certain order, then let all the Northlands monsters kill you repeatedly so they level up. Then, you will be able to level to 20 bluetongue.gif .

I did get to see a level 20 pre-searing guy. I didn't think that was possible with the way exp is given out. Any my guy is now at level 10, but I need to find decent weapon so I can level higher.
