This post is a placeholder for when I stop procrastinating @_@
Ariana said she'd tie me up and whip me if I didn't post...

Callum, I said no such thing...
But on a more serious note, the Event will be in two parts!
Part 1: The first part is a creativity contest! We are looking for a creative contest idea from SeeD members! The three winning ideas will each receive an Obsidian Shard from Callum (one member can potentially win all three shards). The competition ideas will be judged based on the following criteria:
1) All professions and levels must have an equal playing ground (disregarding pre-searing). This means that we can't have a race through the Southern Shiverpeaks because not everyone gets Sprint. It also means that not everyone is in the Southern Shiverpeaks.
2) All contests can be judged easily and equally: A judge has to be present if it is an active event such as a "group tag."
Part 2: The second part of the contest is consistent with the winning ideas from the first contest! We will host the top three winning ideas. The reward has not yet been determined.
That's all I can think of! New parameters may appear as we find the need to create them, but in general Callum and I are disqualified from each contest, as we are judges. These events are not limited to DoA members.
****Deadline for Part 1: Please submit all contest ideas to both Callum and Ariana via PM by February 19th, 2006 10:00PM Eastern Standard Time. Only one PM will be accepted from each SeeD member, so please put all of your ideas down at once. Anyone who ignores this rule will be bapped furiously.****

Okay with more sleep I can reasonably say that this is now a better topic than it was last night.

All are welcome to the events. Any officers that cannot contribute to the ideas may be asked to help in judging.

Judging would be fun, but I suppose someone has to actually be writing up ideas to be judged, so I'll try to think of a few.
When you say that all professions and levels must have an equal shot, how strict are you being on that? Just an example, any kind of 'tag' game that is held in an instanced area is going to be slightly biased towards warrior classes, would they be permitted? What about an event held in a low-to-mid level area, such as the northern shiverpeaks or Kryta?
Oh, and I might have some stuff to contribute as prizes for the contests, I think.

I guess Callum wasn't going to answer this one after all! *kicks the procrastinator*
A game of tag may be okay if every player can bring one speed skill, and we can limit that by the honor system (and it will be really obvious at some point). Also, places like the practice arena on the Battle Isles utilizes player ingenuity in the sense that they can get the Master of Winds to cast speed spells on them if in a bind.

As for the contest area, it depends on our participant base. We may be able to break it into three regions, one for true low levels (Ascalon City), one for mid-levels (Northern Shiverpeaks/Kryta) and one for high levels (Desert or Southern Shiverpeaks) and have a winner of each category, with all winners receiving an equal prize.

Just thoughts, please everyone throw more thoughts in!

(technically this isnt a double post) well after much debate (and after a failed attempt of GvG *glares at Ariana*) it looks like we might have two "events" lined up this upcomming sunday and monday. First on sunday, a glint kill is in the works aka dragon's lair for whoever needs to do the main, or even the bonus. Monday, the first (i presume) SeeD GvG is going to finally happen........now weather thats a good thing or not is your call. Time TBA on everything. but.......took it upon myself to spread ze word!

You didn't really want to GVG with henchies against War Machine did you?

And my response to Goto's post is in regards to Tag. Though it can be a race, whatever you want to come up with as an idea

Be creative!
***Event News: Great ideas from guildies thus far! Keep them coming! ***
Also, Obsidian Shards are very rare crafting materials used to craft Fissure of Woe Armor, street value 3,000+/- gold each.
