Which is the EXACT same reason people were against civil rights. They thought blacks having equality to whites was immoral. 
My prediction is that in 40 years from now, gays will have equal rights as everyone else when it comes to marriage and child care and all sorts of stuff. To be against gay rights will be as taboo as being openly racist is now. Of course, facist people need someone new to pick on... like people who will be getting genetically enhanced. They'll consider that to be 'immoral' and will supress their rights as best they can.

In my biology class we have been discussing stem cells and human cloning. If gays become socialy acceptible then the new target will probably be test tube babys and clones. Or like you said genetically enhanced people. Unless they are enhanced by the military.

I think all races should be equal. However, that means that minorities stop getting extra points on college applications because they are a minority. I think that a colorblind society is what we should be striving for, not a country where an African American with a 3.6 beats out a white guy with a 4.0. I really don't see any racism in school, so I can't see why they need extra points..

what i mean is a lot like what Ratz said. because of the way the civil rights movement has been handled, a lot of highly unbalanced things have happened. (the whole afermative action thing realy irks me personaly). what i dont like about a lot of things, is the "in your face" mentality of a lot of minoritys, the atitude that because they are a minority, they are special and deserve special treatment. that is not what civil rights is suposed to be, and far to often, that is what it has been.
anyways, i'm all for total equality. i personaly dont care what color, shape, or whatever you are, your a PEOPLE. (person). so your just as good as i am. Its unfortunate that not everyone can be that way yet.
give us time. we may get it right yet.
