As an experiment, I thought it might be interesting to try having a pinned topic where people can ask for help in the game. Whether it's simply for tips, or whether you need extra party members for quests/missions/farming, or whether you need a runner to get you somewhere, feel free to post here about it.
Just keep things reasonable, and I'll just point out that we're not quite to the stage of being able to make successful Droknar runs yet (although Cspace is working on it). TheSmile.gif

Hello Guildies!

Tanny has motivated me to post a little note about helping each other. So to refresh Goto's wonderful original posting, we have some ideas! These ideas will be scheduled based on demand and time zone differences.

But first, to give the whole concept some momentum, Tanny and I will be herding guildies in Yaks Bend and pushing forward to Kryta and the Jungle. We may skip the Jungle and head for the Oasis (Desert Region).

Also, we will be completing the infamous Thunderhead Keep (Southern Shiverpeaks) mission at some point this week for any higher levels that are stuck on the mission.

For those new players, the regions advance as such with natural game progression (not really sophiscated descriptions here):
Ascalon -> Northern Shiverpeaks -> Kryta -> Jungle -> Desert (also Ascension) -> Southern Shiverpeaks -> Fire Chain Islands

Please feel free to post what your needs are so that we can organize some other events in the future.

Well, I don't know what time zone you are in, but please contact me when you're in game and I'll be glad to help you out on any missions. TheSmile.gif

Ascalon City -> Amnoon Oasis (Desert) runs are now available to the guild. Only caveat is, that I get to give you a nickname afterwards. grnwink.gif

I'd prefer to wait until quite a few members want the run, as it does take a few of hours.

(Disclaimer: This run allows you to skip about half of the storyline, so I recommend against it if it is your first character. Purpose of this run is to allow fast ascension, depending on your current level, it could bring you to level 20 only after 3 missions. Players usually go back and finish the storyline with their max armor.)

Feel free to contact me, I don't bite. TheSmile.gif

Straight to the desert, huh? If you find some other people who are interested, maybe I'll tag along with one of my newbies, that sounds fun. bluetongue.gif

Oh, on a similar subject. Since a few people have been getting me to run them places recently, I guess I should 'officially' say that I'm happy to give it a shot. biglaugh.gif

Still not really ready for Drok running yet, but I'm willing to give most other areas a shot. A few people have been getting me to run them from Ascalon to Yaks Bend to get armour as soon as they go post-searing, which is both fairly quick and quite easy.

Yay Goto will run Droknar's! TheSmile.gif I usually recommend newbies to get collector's armor in the Desert if they can't afford a Droknar's run + the cost of armor at Droknar's. The collector's items are pretty cheap in comparison (as long as you don't need Bleached Shells) and they are maxed. Depending on the level in which they leave Pre-searing, they can either take the henchies or ask some really nice guildie to escort them to each crafter. grnwink.gif

I haven't received any running requests yet, but I can run you if you would like. You always provide some sort of comic relief that breaks up the boredom of the run. grnwink.gif

There's not really any rush. I'm not even sure whether I meant my E/Me, or some new as-yet undisclosed character I haven't made yet. bluetongue.gif

I just got a drok run on my E/Me, so between that and already being level 15, it might be a waste to get a run to the Desert when I could just plod along at my own pace and collect skills and such.

Oh, and an off-topic thing that is actually on-topic. I'm sure most of you know how much I hate accepting items, but if anyone has any bolts of linen lying around they don't have a use for, I'd really appreciate some. Need a bunch of them for my aeromancers armour, half of which I already got off Tanny. I still need 14 though, if you want payment for them I can probably scrounge up something. bluetongue.gif

I have linen.. grnwink.gif
Payment, ohhh.. I have to make this something good. Equal amounts of the pre-searing items I love. bluetongue.gif

ok i have bought the conjure flame skill to find ou that i don't have the right weapon to actually make use of it. So, if anyone there comes across some kind of fire sword thing (fire dragon sword is the only fire sword i know of thats maxed out damage wise) I'm willing to buy it off you, or you can just give it to me out of the goodness of your heart. thumb.gif

Well any weapon (sword, axe, hammer) with a fire mod will do. Also, if you like wands or staves...fire wand and fire staff will do as well. TheSmile.gif The only FDS I've come across lately has a req 13, which isn't so good. But I'll keep an eye out.

well i actually prefer a sword......for my war/ele. There are mods that actaully make your weapon fire-ish?
