Usually I browse through just about every forum. Lately, I've been seeing alot of topic reviving in the "Market" forums for items that probably don't even exist anymore.

If players don't sell items here, I'm sure after a day or so finding no buyers or sellers they would make a harder effort in game.

Topic revivals from early 2004, for example.

All I suggest is severely lowering the topic cut-off date in the market forums.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Why not just make a necro-posting rule? One day ban for necro-posting, works fine on the CAD forums grnwink.gif

I've been put under the impression the role here is:

If we don't have to ban them, we won't.

(Not quoted from anyone.. whatever.)

So I'm not sure that would work here, good idea as it may be.

I agree with ye' Kaiser TheSmile.gif Kinda irritating to see people post in things that are a year old, to 2 years old...

Anyway, Instead of deleting, we could always close them TheSmile.gif

Eh, Ill look into it just after breakfast... I think theres a way to mass close them grnwink.gif
Empty sig is empty.

Don't delete them. Don't even close them.

Look at the bottom of any forum. There are four drop-down boxes. One reads "Show All." Click it. Note that you can select a cutoff date there. The default is "Show All" (no cutoff), but that can be changed (per-forum even) by the happy adninny persons.

I suggest 90 days. 30 for the markets.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.
