Soon we'll have giagantic capitol ships that can go from submarine (like the FF7 submarine) to hovership (like FF8 Gardens) to giant Airships (like most of the Final Fantasies) and giant spaceships (like that otherworldly ship from FF9)!

Cspace clearly doesn't read Popular Mechanics. That was in their February edition. It's extremely challenging to design due to landing and takeoff detection. It's not expected for years.

Interestingly enough, it was bound to happen for a flying submarine. It would be interesting to see if they get it to work, but due to things like propulsion and take off it might be years before it happens.

cool but i have to point out that i dont think it really should be called a flying submarine cuz its just a plane that LAUNCHES OUT OF a submarine, but thats just my opinion
