Gay Marriage

I don't feel the need to tell other people how to lead their lives, and I don't understand why some others seem to.
I think that allowing same-sex marriages is probably the first step down the long road towards acceptance of alternate lifestyles as being equally valid, which certainly seems like a good thing to me. If it's going to make somebody else's life happier, then who are we to decide?

Oh boy, you guys should meet my friend. In our sex orientation unit this year, he's been plotting ways to make vulgar remarks and piss off our mustached female teacher. When she first asks what we thing of gays, he plans on coughing very loudly, and in the middle of the cough, saying "Fag".
I have really weird experiences with some of my friends at my high school.
I honestly don't understand them. It doesn't make sense. How can you wake up one day and say, "I'm gonna be gay today!". Its just weird.

And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!

Did you wake up one day and say: "Hey, I'm gonna be straight!"?
Why do people care how others live? If they aren't harming others, then let them be.

Nope, I was born straight. They're born straight, but turn gay. Babies aren't gay.

I really can only say the same as above. Why are STRAIGHT marriages legal?
You wanna know why? Because, in the Bible, it states that it's wrong to be gay. So much for the separation of Church and State.
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

I'm not really bothered what people choose to be. If straight people are allowed to get married so should gay people. Although I have to say what is the point. Its not like they can have children...unless they adopt...

There exist many reasons that being married is a good thing for gays. There are benefits that only married couples enjoy. Hospital visitation rights, spousal priviledge, and other perks. These are currently being denied to gays. I have yet to see one legitimate argument against the rights for gays to be married. Not one. I'm hoping someone can post one...

I have no arguement against gay marriage. I'm all for it. I just did'nt understand what the point was. But now I know. Amd after reading what you told me, I can see that giving gay people the right to marriage was a good thing to do

I am against gay marriage, and this is because of my religious, personal, and political beliefs. I am not a "gay basher", and do not really hold anything personal against these people, so do not think that of me
. I just do not support their way of life and their ideas on changing the way marriage is defined.
