I don't believe in marriage to begin with. Marriage was originally for religous purposes, and evolved into contemporary society because women couldn't own their own property or employment. Today it is purely for custody, financial & legal benefits, and as a formality. It doesn't have any useful purpose in society anymore. The gays just want it so they also have an opportunity to walk away with 50% at the divorce. I say screw marriage altogether, why do u have to tie the knot when you can just love each other?

And it gives the men hell when the divorce comes around, cause somehow, the woman always gets the stuff...

What on earth happened to getting married because you want to spend the rest of u're life with someone and to be bonded together for life. These days it is so easy just to get a divorce, and without marriage it's to easy to just walk out on the other person and leave them with all the responsibility, like if they had children, one person could just walk out and they would not have to look back again on the situation. How unfair is that on the person that is walked out on? Everything is to easy these days, people think that "oh well if it doesn't work out i can get a divorce" When it should be that when people marry it's for the right reasons and it's for good. Society has dropped, and you might think i'm old fasioned, but in the "olden" days, divorce rates etc and those types of problems were much lower.

Hmmm if your catholic there are reason for you not to like gay marriage. The Bible says that marriage is a covenant between a man and a women. Me i feel the gays are free to do what they want in AMERICA!!!!!!! because it is free country. Though i am not agianst gays being married nor i am not pro gay marriage. Relating to Catholics agian they are who they are you cant change them i am Catholic too and i dont mind gay marriage. Also for my America qoute it had a meaning, i guarntee that most other counties have never even heard of the idea of same sex marriage The question should be changed to Gay Marriage in America.

I'm guessing Germany, Britain, France, Denmark, Norway, Amsterdam, Hungary, Croatia, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, and Austria don't count.

Thats my view. Mostly cos of religous beliefs. but if they wanna go do that then fine aslong as im not involved.
