Well I have yahoo AIM and MSN. So it is a bit of a problem signing on/off and away messaging on them. Plus some people have one of them and some people have all of them (IM softwear). Also all of them cary spywear when you download them. Well I was fooling around with google and noticed an IM softwear called Trillian. It works in a very cool way. Its basicly like all of your IM softwear together. When you sign in to Trillian it has your all of your IM softwear (AIM MSN ect..). It signs everything in at once. Wehn you download the softwear it even brings all your lists from your previous IM softwear (AIM, MSN ect..) to your new Trillian IM. So then you can just deleat Your other IM softwear becouse they will not be usful to you anymore. PLus Trillian doesn't cary any of those anoying spywear on your computer. It is also extremly easy to use.

I know once you get this last IM program you will never need another one agin!

Yeh, Trillian is sort of old news. It basically allows you to sign into multiplae IM clients with the same software, at the same time.

A really good IM rescource is Meebo (www.meebo.com). It lets you sign onto the major IM services from a web-based client so you don't need to download anything. It is great if you need to sign in from school or the office of when you on vacation. thumb.gif

ONly problem I have with Trillian, the smileys don't comply with codes that go to MSN or whatever.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

If I'm on windows, I use MSN and mIRC. If I'm on linux I use GAIM and Xchat.

Gaim has a windows version (and owns btw)
thats what i use under windows, on my mac i use Adium, which is build off the linux version of the Gaim engine, and it REALY REALY owns.

i dont like trilian because of how dificult it is to customize how it looks, the deafault is ugly i think, and the skins are a pain to install, Adium lets you change almost everything from within the program.

and of course i is a great IM client (tabed IM'ing for the win! its like firefox for IM's!)

I use AIM, YIM, MSN, ICQ, GTalk, and Jabber. I just use the actual software for those and not any other clients. However when i'm on the go I just use Meebo; and right now, my MSN is messed up so I have to sign on with Meebo. nonono2.gif

But if you have a slow computer or don't want to use up too much space by downloading a bunch of different clients, try downloading Trillan or something. thumb.gif
