I did this on a complete accident, but it was hilarious.

Mom was on her cell talking to my dad, and a telemarketer called.

I picked up the phone and the person asked "Is an adult around?"

I replied "Yeah, my mom's here, but my dad has her tied up right now." The telemarketer called the police!!! Some crazy cop showed up asking where my mother was, and I got a little confused, then I remembered what I said and went "Uh oh."

Step 1) Press random buttons on the phone and tell the telemarketer to stop doing that.

Step 2) When the telemarketer says that he/she isn't doing it, tell him/her to hold for a moment. Put the phone on the table with an obvious 'clunk' on their end, and yell at some fake person about messing with the phone. Make some bumping sounds like the person is running up or down some stairs and close a door loudly.

Step 3) Pick up the phone again and apologize in a friendly tone, saying the disturbance is now in the backyard.

Step 4) When the telemarketer starts again, press some buttons on the phone. Then tell the telemarketer to stop. When he/she claims to not be doing it, get irritated and call the telemarketer a liar, and that he/she should stop.

Step 5) Stop with the button pushing and let the telemarketer continue. When the telemarketer stops for a response, query him/her about government surveillance. Then accuse him/her of being undercover and act paranoid, refusing to give information.

Step 6) Call to the fake person saying it's time to go, that the government is watching them. Tell the telemarketer "You won't find me this time..." and hang up.

(btw, I wouldn't recommend actually doing this )

1. After they call, hit redial and call them back. Respond with a very friendly: "I missed you!".
2. If you happen to have a Television around, get someone to change the channel to a horror, music, or kiddie station so you have some background music.
3. Put them on hold and play elevator music (jazz) or classical.
4. Make random 'boop' noises.
5. Act like an automated message, ex:

For a customer service person, press one. To record a message, press two. To voice a complaint, press 3. Etc...

6. Start weeping into the phone.

Say"Hi, is this (some fastfood restaurant)?" Before they have a chance to respond, say" Ok good, I'll have a (order something). I'll pick it up in 15 minutes." Then hangup, go to your computer, log onto cspacezone, post your idea, find out someone already took it, get angry, kick your dog, etc.....
