I'd say thats going to be the major problem now consoles are shipping with hard drives, the publishers can release the same bug filled games as with the PC
"Well we spent too much cash on this game, it's nowhere near finished but lets release it anyway, if it sells well we can patch it later and get some money through micropayments and addons"

I would get the 360 becouse it is very well made. If your parents are gunna help you pay for it they wont like the $500-$600 price tag on the PS3. If you are gunna play the xbox live you need the more expensive 360. It will save you around 100$ if not more.
