Wow...It's been a while since I've checked into here...A bit has changed, but thankfully, I didn't get any reports of things going wrong in the GC. ^-^ So I guess things are being done correctly in there.

Anyway...

I've been looking for some help on popping that all too common question... "Will you go out with me?" (No not you, Darky. ) There's this girl I've been flirting with for a solid month now and we're pretty comfortable with each other. I carry her bookbag, I open doors for her (when she lets me ), and I escourt her to her car every day after school, giving her a farewell hug before watching her drive off. I think she trusts me thoroughly through my gentleman-like abilities. (Mad skills yo!)

I think soon would be a great time to pop the question to her since I just expressed my feelings through a flower last night for her dancing recital. A yellow rose with red tips, which means a friendship blossoming into a relationship.

Well...I might as well get to the point of why I'm blabbering...I've...Never asked a girl out before. She's my first. How do I do it? When do it do it? Anybody have any tips?

I understand you've nervous and wonder if now is the right time . If you feel it is, just go ahead and ask. Make sure you think out what you're going to say and repeat it a few times so you don't stumble over your words . The easiest way to try to keep the nervousness away is to think "Hey, I've only got one life to live, it's not all over if she says no." Good luck .

I'm well aware that "popping the question" means marriage, I was being smarmy about it.

Well. It's too late. Turns out only one person saw this before the boards crashed and he helped me a bit. I asked her the other day and now we just need a first date... Wonder where I can find one of those?... <.<;;

She doesn't drink coffee, so a trip to the coffee shop (one of my favorite date places) Is pretty much useless unless for lunch. We might start there. By the way, just thought I'd say.

Well, why not lunch (or dinner)? Find a nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant (nothing fancy, but you don't want to be dining with the roaches either ) and have fun.

Movies are an option, but the downside is you can end up sitting in silence for two hours. :-\

Or just try to find something unique in your neck of the woods. Around here, for instance, I'd suggest going for a walk on the beach -- since everyone at school thinks "Monterey is soooooo boring," they never do it, and it becomes more special. Think for a bit and you'll come up with something to surprise her with.

I'm going to go with Phi's advice. I'd just go for a more casual restaurant. Nothing fancy, though I wouldn't go with McDonald's. Maybe a small cafe or something.

Take her somewhere she might like, somewhere of interest to her. Whether it be to eat, to get a smoothie or ice cream, or maybe she enjoys a certain activity... Don't be nervous or worry about it because most likely she will go, so think of something creative and do it
