eragon movie coming soon!

the new movie based on Eragon is coming out on June 16, 2006! only about a month until it comes out!

I still have yet to read that particular series, but I hear it borrows heavily from LOTR.

alpha weapon, it doesnot borrow from lotr. i did not see laws for magic, or any magic at all. did lotr have an order like the dragon riders???? i think not and eragon completely dwarfs lotr.

Well, I must admit that saying that a fantasy seems to be very similar to Lord of the Rings is the same as saying a non-fiction seems to be very similar to reality. bluetongue.gif

Aragorn != Eragon, but it's pretty darn close...

Yeah, they were some good books. It'll be fun seeing the movie, but I just hope it doesn't horribly murder the book.

lol... judging from what i read on the site, it won't be bad.

actually, if you read the author's bio, it says the mountains where he lived in Colorado ( i think) inspired the story... hence, the Spine and the other mountains that seperate Carvahall from the rest Alagaesia.
