United Freedom Fighters Newsletter.

Hello readers and welcome to the first edition of the United Freedom Fighters Newsletter. In todays edition we'll be going over the latest runescape updates, We've got interviews with one of runescapes Highscores alumni, Great tips for runescape newbies, the latest buzz in the United Freedom Fighters clan and so much more.

Today I Cavernoff ( Philmygroin) editor of the United Freedom Fighters clan was able to get a interview with English King, who is currently number 20 in the overall highscores list and he and I will be going into depth discussion into how he raised through the ranks of runescape best. We will also receive a detailed scoop from journalist Fredie about the recent flamming going on between SeeD members and UFF members. We also be giving the runescape newbies out there a hand into how to make some serious cash and how to get you skills up fast.

Interview with English King

Cavernoff
: Firstly I'd liked to thank you for taking time out of your schedule to have talk with us here at United Freedom Fighters.

English King: No problem, thank you for having me.

Cavernoff: Ok lets jump right into it. Many people dream of reaching the top of runescapes best, where the likes of Zezima, TheHate and Divine God have for a long time have been at the top of runescape and you've just recently just broke into the top 20, hows does it make you feel?

English King: Well when I was a noob and you were a noob, hell when everyone was a noob, we all heard the ledgend of Zezima, the man who has pretty much had unending rule as runescape number one man and to know that Iam only a stones throw away from being in the top ten with Zezima, makes me feel great.

Cavernoff: For those out there who are aiming to be in the top ten one day can you give them any advice?

English King: Yes, just take you time work at your skills one at a time, alot of people try to multi-skill, like fishing and cooking at one time, I suggest just focusing on the one skill and keep working at it and I especially say don't let people who insult you and say you'll never been up the top get to you, you can get there just take your time, its not a race.

Cavernoff: Great, as you know I represent the United Freedom Fighters Clan, We believe in free and open clanning for everyone even if your level three your welcome to join us. How do you feel about the United Freedom Fighters movement?

English King: Personally it's refreshing to see people be open and let low levels into their clan, I feel that the higher level players have a lot of knowledge and know-how to pass on the newest players, but because of restrict clans alots of newbies are left out on their own to defend themselves, I myself had to learn the ropes when i first start there were no clans like UFF around then and I don't think that these clans know how insulting and disrespectful it is to reject people based on their level. Lots of luck to the UFF movement I believe their doing a great job.

Cavernoff: Thank you unfortunately that's all the time we've got, thanks again for you time English king.

English King: No problem, goodbye and good luck.

Turmoil in United Freedom Fighters

By: Fredie21, UFF journalist

Well on June 14 2006 a flame war has gone on between Seed and UFF. Apparently because of Dokimos(visonary founder) posted that restrictive clans
were gay( The term "gay" that has been used, it is not racism. It is not even addressed to say homosexual. The word is used in the context to express being "exclusive".) . This was the cause for many members of SeeD to act out. Though the majority of SeeD does no pay attention to us the few that do ussually dont like us.

The flamming war reached crisendo when Seed Moderators had to step in with force and banned or suspend a series of people for their massive amount of Insults and disrespect coming towards the United Freedom Fighters clan. Since then there has been a series of talks going between SeeD members and UFF members.

There is no cause for alarm anymore because cspace ( the Administrator of SeeD) and Dokimos resolved everything. But before this members of Seed(none can be named) struck an all time low by insulting Dokimos, other members of the UFF clan and our values. Other seed members that weren't as radical accused us as spamming and things like that. Though like some seed members like Star Jedi help out to get rid of the flaming and his attempts were apreciated though the person that really resolved the conflict was Cspace he had a strong belief in clan unity and he showed it today by supporting our clan movement to stop some members from flaming.

Another person i should mention is Chaz Pk. He has been spamming and flamin me aswell as Dokimos. He has been named traitor of UFF by the people not by me.

Tips for Runescape New players

We all know how hard it is for new players to make some gold, especially between levels 3-20 so we here at United Freedom Fighter Press have colaborated and come up with some great tips and know-how to make some serious gold amd to level up your fighting skills.

Tip 1#.

One of the best ways in runescape to make gold is mining and one of the most wanted products is Iron ore which is needed to be smelted with coal to make steel bars.
Iron ore selling for 100gp maybe a bit more if you can find a generous person. All you have to do is get your bronze pick with you will recieve at the tutorial island and mine copper and tin ore till you have level 20 mining, now its time to get some iron ore, it's best to go to less populated world and go to the mining site just south of varrock's east exit. Remember always sell in bulk, mine until you have about 200 or 300 iron ore which can be sold for 20k for the 200 ore or 30k for the 300 and repeat, soon you have enough gold to buy the need weapons and armour you want.

Tip 2#

This money tip is for those who have patience, but i can be done from level 3 at the beginning, just north-east of lumbrige where you begin your life in runescape is a farm area, go there until you come across the chicken coop, start killing chickens they drop 5-10 feathers which can be sold at 5-10gp each, keep killing chickens until you have a 1000 feathers now jump to world one and sell them, feathers are in high demand due to fact their needed to make arrows.

Tip 3#

You've made your cash and bought yourself a brand new set of bronze or steel armour with a sword or axe depend on how you like to kill, now its time to grind your fighting skills, the time tested way to get you attack, defense and strength skills up fast is to return to the farming area and fight those cows across from the chicken coop, cows don't fight back much and you can smash them for hours without needing much food to heal.

Recent Updates to Runescape

Finally the much awaited free to play release will be coming this month, After years of jaqex bombarding us with advice and information on security and how to protect your account that information will finally have a use. They have decided to build a traing area. Free players are invited to hack and slash their way through four monster infested floors, but the fun doesnt end with monsters, you'll have to answered questions the doors on each floor to get to the treasure, heres a tip it involves all the advice jaqex gives you about account security. With the top floor giving free players a much awaited new piece of armour.

A new random event will also be released this month. One of the Camelot beekeepers has a problem. His old beehives have stood around for a long time and they are starting to fall apart. Help him to reassemble the beehives before you get stung.

This month, the Warriors' Guild finally appears just on the outskirts of Burthorpe for pay to players only. It’s taken a while to get the ideas right, but with various different minigames to play, earning you time in a rewarding training room at the top. Try out the shot putt, animate suits of armour, smash training dummies in a kind of “whack-a-mole” setting, even try beating a drunken guard at a very odd balancing game. Keep a look out for a rather nice new blade too.

The Lastest Runescape Buzz

Player owned houses is that is needed to be said, this new feature has set runescape a blaze, it has also opened up a new runescape market, which at this moment is thriving, planks are selling at enourmous rate, if you can get you hands on good amount you can make a good amount of cash. The player owned house not only look great but come with enourmous amount of features, training rooms you no longer have to share monsters with other players you have monsters all to your self, your very own throne room. Needless to say many are burning their harder earn gold to get themselves their own personal housing.

The Falador Massacre

At this point in time reports are sketchy, but as things are getting filtered it here, we've heard that a large party of people who teleported for a player owned house in varrock, some how a glitch happen and they could attack and kill players outside of the wilderness, these degenerates then went on killing spree through all of falador, many unsuspecting people were killed lossing many of their items. Thankfully Jaqex was on the scene quickly informing every near by to bank their items.

I like it thumb.gif

This is something some SeeDs have tried to do and just couldn't get it off the ground, but I like how you kept it more simple and did it on the forums. Every time the SeeD newspaper tried to run it became more and more complex and never happened. Keep them coming grnwink.gif

Eloquent, Philmygroin. A well appreciated support of the UFF movement by you, a UFF.

* * *

If I may comment, a most common statement that has been said by many is that UFF and SeeD have been at war or in disagreement. You did report well, Phil, that this had been said, but I do need to point out that UFF is part of SeeD.

So, this amounts to this being simply an internal disagreement within SeeD by SeeDs. It is not a war between UFF and SeeD but between rival political parties in Runescape. UFF is not some alien entity within SeeD. UFF has been fully received into SeeD.

From my own viewpoint, I see this as those SeeDs who have loyalties to other clans more than SeeD as being a problem. But granted, my viewpoint is not the only one within SeeD. Also, my specific viewpoint about that may change given how negotiations result.

Nice job. However, maybe you shouldn't mention people (like chz pk) by name when you are talking about rule breaking. I think the best part was the interview with someone that high up on the highscores. Keep it up.

P.S. You guys are lucky to have a guy like dokimos0rg as your leader. Cspace and he are great peacekeepers... TheSmile.gif
