An article I recently read about the the technology gap between western countries and developing countries. It makes a strong point that the technological divide between western countries and developing countries is very important to cover. I agree that there is a serious problem with this technological gap. I suggest to anyone that is interested in technology that they read it.

That was actually quite an interesting read.
I thought that the OLPC was quite good, as it would be appealing to children, and also be good for educational purposes =)
I thought the Ndiyo system was pretty clever too
But overall.. Surely the developing countries have more to worry about than having a computer?

Filling the gap of technology in developing countries is a door that can give more ways to better educate people. If people are able to get a better education, it could mean that major companies are able to outsource some jobs to people in developing countries. These outsourced jobs can mean an increase in employment. With an increase in an employment, the economy coujld become stronger. So overall it could mean a better way of life for people who have little or no money. If this project takes off, it means one more step closer to making the world a united place.
