PVPMF(Player vs. Player Match Fighting):
This is not something Jagex ltd. came out with....it is not a new skill or anything likew that...me and a few of my buds online made this up quite some time back in rs. We got bored and wondered if we could start some fights between people on the wildy border. It evolved from there.....that said just so no one gets confused, and starts saying things like "where is the pvpmf zones?" lol.
A match fight takes place on the border of any place where a player can attack a player. A benifactor/benifactors will search for the right apponents and once found will take them one side and speak to them of the fight. During this time the benifactor/benifactors explain the way the battle will be fought, suplie combatatants with any items that are lacking according to the rules they set. a benifactor will then announce the commencment of the fight and the two combatants will cross the boundry to where they can attack each other and begin the match at the benifactors/benifactors word.
When one combatant dies the benifactor/benifactors will settle up by having the winning combatant exit the place of battle and awarding them after announcing their victory. After this the benifactor/benifactors will settle up any wagers made. A benifactor/benifactors may at any time choose one fighter to be a champion, who they will continuosly back.
- a fighter is one who has not one a fight or who has lost.
- a combatant is one who has one a fight.
- a champion is one who is sponsored by a benifactor beyond one fight, and has won more times then he/she has lost.
The benifits of PVPMF:
- lower ranking players(fighters, combatants, and champions) can increase their skill and wealth through benifactors/sponsors, and repeated boughts.
- benifactors/sponsors can increase their own wealth and entertainment, by the matches and betting on them.
- PVPMF allows pker's and spectators to enjoy fighting in runescape in a way that even stakes dueling does not lend its self to.
- Being Honarable (obiding by rules and fulfilling agreements), is rewarded with respect, doing well on top of this is rewarded with fame.
The draw backs:
PVPMF works off the honor system. That a benifactor will supply a fighter/combatant/champion when he/she wins or looses is not enforced by any thing but honor. for violations a benicator/sponsor or fighter/combatant/champion, may be officialy banned or shunned, but only by a group of pvpmf players to which they belong. That does not stop them from competing on their own. A person looses honor and respect when they break the rules. If some one has no honor it can not be taken from them.
Thats an added risk that ads for exitment and un-predictability to this sport though... which I feel makes it much more interesting.
Taking precuations:
If one wishes to enter this sport in any respect they should take some basic precuations to hold people to keep people on their honor. every one present has the duty to take screen shots of the ongoings, and be witness to agreements. If their are spectators in addition to benifactors/sponsors and fighters/combatants/champions, then there is less chance of any one cheating some one.
example: There are 2 benifactors and 10 spectators out side of the fighting zone. The benifactors made an openly announced wager on the out come, they set the rules for the duel, and all relevant parties showed inventories and took screen shots, as did the audience of people hearing them making the bet verbaly.... if after the fight one benifactor tries to duck out on making good on his wager, saying the he/she never made it, there are 11-13 other people with screen shots and having been there... a good 50 or so screen shots from different angles and people all saying he/she did make the wager would be hard to refute.
In this game it is every ones duty to keep each other honest.
Basic Rules:
1. No fleeing when not told to.
2. Accept only benifactor aprroved chalenges.
3. Never decline a chalenge set by your benifactor.
4. always fight by the rules set down for a match.
5. Always offer the bones of the fallen to your benifactor.
6. The greatest reward or compansation a benifactor can give to a loosing fighter, is allowing them to continue to serve as a champion and replacing any relevant thing lost(what the benifactor considers relevant) during a fight. A benifactor may not give a loosing fighter any more then was lost during the fight.
7. A benifactor can not back more then one champion for one fight.
8. A benifactor can not set a match that will allow them to un-fairly gain from it un-dependent on the out come.
9. A benifactor is a witness, judge, prize awarder, and referee. So when the fight begins and ends, and how it is fought must be followed to the letter. No combatatant may do any thing pertaining to the battle with out a benifactors approval before hand or at the time just before it will be done granting permission.
