Okay, I know it came out in March, which is when I intended on getting it, but I wound up getting an XBox360, Oblivion, and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, but I want to know as much as possible about Factions, because I intend to get it, and all I can tell so far is that there are two new classes I. Ritualist, II. Assassin, but I'm not even sure about that.

Hehe no worries, 'tis always fun explaining Factions.
Basically, it's another chapter in the Guild Wars storyline. It takes place in the continent south of Tyria called Cantha. Cantha is what you might call an "Asia" in Guild Wars as it has the Eastern theme.
The storyline differs from the Prophecies campaign. Currently a mysterious plague has swept upon Cantha and there are rumors as to what is the cause of it. Mhenlo of Tyria has been called back to Cantha by his old teacher, Master Togo, as he studied in Shing Jea Monastery when he was younger. He brings with him Devona, Aidan, Cynn and Eve to help find and destroy the cause of the plague.
There are two exclusive professions to the Factions campaign, the Ritualist and Assassin. The Ritualist binds spirits to aid in battle as well as heals and uses lightning-based spells. The Assassin inflicts quick damage and stacking conditions in battle to hinder the foe by using daggers.
Also, they have added a new feature known as "Alliances". If you and another guild or two decide you want to be in an alliance, you must be aligned with the same "faction". There are two factions in Cantha; There are the Luxons of the Jade Sea and the Kurzicks of the Echovald Forest. Ever since the Jade Wind caused by Shiro Tagachi two hunder years ago swept through Cantha, the Luxons and the Kurzicks have been at war with each other. The Jade Wind turned the sea into jade and turned everything in the Echovald Forest to stone. Through fighting, you can aid either side to earn faction points with each side. These points can either be redeemed to earn faction for your alliance or to obtain certain materials.
If you buy Factions, you can either add it onto your current Prophecies account to have a total of 6 character slots and be able to move between the two continents, or you can just create a separate account and have it as a stand alone game with 4 character slots. Prophecies and Factions each have unique skills and armour sets however some can be found in both campaigns.

I've been gone since forever.
It's like nostalgia randomly coming back...
How many times has it been now? Haha.
Also, if there was ever any confusion,
Sir Blackma does not mean Sir Blackman,
and I am WHITE. Just thought I'd clear
that up lol.
