Well the big boys at AMD have finally done it! ATI and AMD are merging their two firms. It seems that ATI was merged for $5.4 billion. ATI really is a powerhouse in the chipset and graphics industry, but if this turns out to be good, Intel is really going to have a monster up on their tail. Here is the article:

It is official! AMD and ATI have mergered. If thats not good enough news, ATI might be releasing the ATI x1950XTX which has one of the first ever GDDR4 memory.
