Cspace, "The CurvedSpace 'Legend of the Green Dragon' Server" remains biased against a minority of its players. It is opposed to transsexuals — or, more specifically, those wishing to become transsexuals, as their existence is prevented entirely! Despite numerous requests otherwise, players are given the option to choose their character's sex only once: during the initial character creation process. There are various opportunities during gameplay to change other major physical aspects of one's character — such as, oh, I don't know, becoming an entirely new species upon being splattered by really weird blood — yet sex changes are unavailable to us. The closest you've come to resolving this situation was to comment that the inclusion of a sex-change option "could most definitely enhance the game." But I know your little game, Cspace. You're playing politics. You're merely trying to placate those who would otherwise attack you in the fields.

Your time is up. We want kickass sex-changes and we want them now. Until then, you, sir, are on notice!

Ok Phi (err, Captain Jack), I made some accomodations for you. Go on over to Amwayr and see Dr. Paprika. For 500 gold and 5 gems, he can do the trick and give you a gender change. bluetongue.gif

Thank you for venturing to the side of equality, good sir. You are no longer on notice.

I believe I replaced you with the IAU. (I also ended up taking out the "funny ha-ha" entries, and rearranged it to look nicer, because hey, if you're on notice you're on notice, right?)

IPB Image
  • FUNimation Films is on notice for three reasons. First, while they brought the Fullmetal Alchemist movie to theaters, they did so in limited release. This is to be expected, I suppose... but it would be nice if I had the chance to actually go see it. At first there were no showings in California or any of our neighboring states. A Los Angeles showing was added later, but that's still ~320 miles away. No deal. Why not San Fransisco? Next month they're putting manga ads (including FMA!) on BART tickets, for crying out loud. Second, the list of theaters on their website is sorted in a completely arbitrary fashion. It would make more sense if sorted by, say, state and city. Third, they needlessly added "The Movie" to "Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie: The Conqueror of Shamballa." Why?
  • The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are on notice because of their name. They play in Anaheim, which is not even in the same county as Los Angeles. Most people call them "The Angels," "The Anaheim Angels" (their previous name), or "The California Angels" (their previous previous name). I call them "The Anaheim Angels of Anaheim," because I rule.
  • Dan Shive is on notice for reasons that will not be revealed to the general MyCurvedSpace public. If any of you are bunnies, you can probably guess; the rest of you won't care.
  • Jeep Parts Dealers are on notice for charging upwards of $80 (per side) for one of six pieces of weather stripping for my Cherokee's front windows. To put that in perspective, the driver's-side wing window lock is about $30 less. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm betting I could just go to OSH, buy a length of hose, and cut it to fit.
  • Stephen Colbert is on notice for being nominated for, but not winning, an Emmy award in the category of "Individual Performance in a Variety, Music, or Comedy Program." He could have won, but he's a slacker.
  • Monterey High School is on notice for being given money by WHOI (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution) to send the 2005-2006 ROV team to Woods Hole, then spending it on the 2006-2007 ROV team. (Blame has been shifted to the district/county/state/national level based on legal issues; we'll see how this plays out.)
  • The International Astronomical Union is on notice not, surprisingly, for declaring that Pluto is not a planet, but for defining a planet as a celestial body that, among other things, is in orbit around the sun. Not just any star... Sol. Why?
  • And finally, Bo Hu is on notice for being a flaming {expletive hax0rd by Cspace}. There are many others I could put here, but I know him, so yeah. (He's the former "(Name Withheld)," but he doesn't seem to care that his full name can be found elsewhere on the Internet. Also, Googling him will give you a list of like a gazillion other Bo Hus. So meh.)

Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.
