Guests can once again view the arcade, but they still cannot play anything unless they log in.


Made the champion text (in the thread view) into horizontal marquees. There should be no issues with them in any remotely current browser. Marquees get a little more attention, so you can more easily show off your top scores. They also prevent members with long lists of games from unnecessarily stretching their posts. The marquees may seem a little odd since we're not used to seeing movement over on that side, but members have had much more distracting signatures in the past with very few complaints. There may be mixed reactions, but I think we should see how they look when they lose the "new" factor.

Personally, I don't like the marquee, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Hehe, I was already playing the games before you even said this. They are pretty cool games.

I don't think I really like the scrolling marquees but don't know of a solution for long lists just yet. I will think about it and see fi I can offer you a suggestion.

I changed it back, I may just remove or edit the "Champion!" part so it less frequently requires more than one line. When activity increases and more play the games in the arcade, we would have less of a problem with longer lists since it would be more difficult to maintain one.

The marquees may be brought back if the problem becomes worse, but for now let's just stick with what we're used to.

Hmm, editing that was pretty easy.

Brought back the static lists, and took away "Champion!" next to every link to compress things a little bit. Added the heading to make obvious what they are there for, and while I was at it I fiddled with things and killed the extra "-----------------------" for those with no top scores.

The lists still stretch some members' posts, but at least they are somewhat orderly now. So, I guess we probably don't want the marquees back.

Quite like the look of the list now, neat and unobtrusive while still allowing people to show off their achievements.
