I might buy a Wii once they become cheap.

Xbox 360 hasn't interested me as of yet.

Playstation 3... hell no. Plus, it's Sony.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

PS3 - No.
XB360 - Possibly in the near future.
N-WII - Never a Nintendo fan, however I may look into this venue.

Undetermined as of now.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".

360-Nah, not an X-Box fan.

PS3- After a substantial price drop, yes.

WII- If the PS3 didn't cost so much, I'd have said no, but the WII is looking better and better.

360-realy good games and a fair price at 400$(well not realy)

PS3- They are crazy people to charge 600$ but I hurd the games are gunna be good and the system will basicly be like a computer

WII- very good price, not the best games, stuped controler, nice look, good system, finnaly online

I am probly gunna be forced to choose one of the three. Maybe when Xbox360 drops the price when the PS3 comes out since the 360 will get less buyers.

Even though I'm not a Nintendo fan, if anything, I'd get the Wii.

Possibly a Wii, although I think they're going to screw up the online aspect again

PS3 & 360 - don't have a HDTV so not much point

Also, is this right... Sony's Blu-ray seems to read at 2x which would be a maximum of 9MB/s (vs 360s 16MB/s), so it would take about 55 secs to fill its memory (512MB)?

EDIT - yep, found this:

QUOTE

One area they are in agreement on is that Blu-ray's read speed isn't as fast as the Xbox 360's. Says DeLoura:

"Admittedly, Blu-Ray looks dicey from several non-capacity angles. Blu-Ray movies require a 1.5x Blu-Ray drive, or 54Mbits/second. Sony announced that PS3 uses a 2x BD drive, which is 72Mbits/second or 9MB/second. The Xbox 360 uses a 12x DVD, which should give it about 16MB/second. That is significantly faster for games and will result in shorter load times. And that 12x DVD drive should be a whole lot cheaper. (Note that the PS3 drive will do 8x DVD, and even that is faster than 2x BD.)"

Most likely a Wii, the concept appeals to me, and there are too many games which could well become must-haves. Normally I prefer Sony systems over Microsoft as an alternative, but I haven't been too impressed with how the Ps3 has been handled so far. The 360 looks a little better, but I haven't seen many games which would make me want to buy one. It's not that there is a lack of quality games, but there's a definite focus for the system.

Oh, IGN had a pretty good video of one of their guys testing out a Wii up in Germany recently, worth taking a look. At this stage of the development the Wii is not without its flaws, but it still seems like a lot of fun. bluetongue.gif

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Announces New March 2007 date for European Launch of PLAYSTATION 3

No change in launch date for Japan and North America

London, Wednesday 6 September 2006 – Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced that it would revise the launch date of its PLAYSTATION® 3 computer entertainment system in the PAL territories of Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Australasia from 17th November 2006, as previously announced to March 2007.

Launch dates for Japan and North America will remain the same, which are November 11th and November 17th respectively.

The revision of the launch date in the SCEE territories is caused by the delay in the mass production schedule of the blue laser diode within the Sony Group, thus affecting the timely procurement of key components to be utilised in PLAYSTATION 3.

Can't say I'm alll that surprised, it would have been a first to get the system at the same time as America. icon_sweatdrop.gif
