I was just farming before, and I got really excited about another gold drop to add to my title goal, but then when I managed to identify it, it turned out to be a real let down!

So I was just wondering how many people have had the same problem as me, where they had a nice looking weapon which turned out to be scrap metal.

For me... I've had two major let downs:

Ebon Eternal Bow of Pruning - +15% dmg against plants
Giant Slayers Hammer of Dwarfslaying - +19% dmg against dwarves

I don't see how the second one works... at all...

I've had plenty of letdowns and you should use the 19% damage to dwarves for your rankor camp build to kill heretics

The best thing to do is if you get a good looking gold, sell it unidentified. That way if turns out to be crappy, it is the buyer's fault . I remember I sold an unidentified Shadow Bow for 20k or so, and when the guy identified it, it had a Charrslaying mod .

It's depends on what you want. If its an item you need then identify it. I would hate to get a gold I want and sell it to another person only to find out it is EXACTLY WHAT I NEED (Yes, this happened to me once...). Otherwise selling UIed is a good idea.
