Unless you want the event to be 100% my own evil concoction, now's the time to post some input. bluetongue.gif

This is what this thread is about.

I've taken my bump posts to a new level, and am now posting bump threads. eek4.gif

So you know it's important... eek13.gif

(By the way, please post feedback in this thread instead of the other, or I'll ask BigRat to do something evil to you... I'll let him use his imagination.)

Lol, I rarely use those icons if I'm actually serious about something (unless it's the question mark, exclamation mark, or arrow). I like creating irony or raising questions for no particular reason. bluetongue.gif

If this is still going to be a week-long, I would suggest there be set times during each day when people should head into the chat if they're online. That way people can be caught up on whatever is happening, and just get to talk with everybody. Maybe two separate time periods each day, just because of everyone's schedules.

And there's of course school to be taken into account of.. maybe try to place it around Thanksgiving week at least? I think my district has a 4-5 day weekend for that.

As for events.. I'm thinking forum and internet scavenger hunts. For the forums, maybe we can have a 'Blue's Clues' sort of thing (doesn't have to be a scavenger hunt), and then for the internet -- a scavenger hunt. Such as, find a picture of a turkey.

Just remember, it's SeeD's anniversary, not CurvedSpace's bluetongue.gif

A few people have been suggesting an emphasis on the chats, but I dunno, that sounds a little dull to me. We'll go to the chat, indeed, but I don't think the events should revolve around it. We need to incorporate the factions, and no, not everyone will be able to participate in every event because of it... But it's SeeD's anniversary, and SeeD is a multi-game guild, it would only make sense for the focus to be on games in my opinion. Exactly how, I'm not sure.

I do have an idea though...

We could have a contest of sorts for festive SeeDish party screenshots. These could be applicable in every MMOG that I know of... It's easily feasible in Runescape (where we almost all have characters even if we don't all play) and Guild Wars... And it's also feasible in games such as EQ2, WoW, and SWG, among others with which I'm not quite as familiar. Hehe, for those who play SWG we could probably do some funny things in a cantina, since I think I can fit the bio-engineered lvl 70+ dewback in there. bluetongue.gif

This would mean a lot of parties. It would also mean a lot of visibility, a lot of crazy screenshots, and perhaps even a little extra support for that clan "spirit" thing. bandit.gif

... But that's just my idea for a focus.

******************************************

As for Thanksgiving, I believe that we started SeeD soon[ish] after the break. I seem to remember it being a Friday... Maybe we could start during the weekend of Thanksgiving break (not on Thanksgiving) and end sometime around the next Friday. That could be convenient for the U.S., but I'd also like some feedback from those elsewhere.

Master, the machine is ready.

Have the members been inputting input, or shall I initiate phase 1?

As for my ideas on "SeeD Day", I would say parties on various games throughout the week would be a good idea. I'm not really organised enough to actually organise anything, because my organisational skills are disorganised beyond operational organisation; What i'm saying is ... not sure, forgotten now. Oh yeah, Party like theres going to be no tomorrow (Which can actually be arranged, if you believe that that will encourage people to actually party) - Not sure why people would party if there wasnt going to be a tomorrow, i'd probably be in the corner of the room reading Lord of the Rings again, y'know, for the fourteenth time. Talking about Lord of the Rings, we should try and set up a Stargate in Falador so that when we walk through we appear in Droknars Forge. That'd help all those lower level guys get Max armour. Y'know what we havent done in ages? Get someone with a party hat to parade around as being King of Runescape and we should all walk around behind the king in a conga line and then maybe heading up to the Inn just south of wildy so we can finally sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall and maybe even play a few games of spin the bottle (Which would only be fun if it was tannys turn every turn, and maybe if the bottle was rigged to always finish pointing at goaty) and a few other party games, like twister or maybe even set up a DDR machine somewhere.

Wolfmother songs make my brain hurt.
Empty sig is empty.

The screenshots sound like a good way to connect each of theour factions in this. Though still, I think we should meet up in the chat beforehand, so that we know who's going into what game to start the screenies (and where to meet up).

We should go to the chat for the sake of going to the chat. bluetongue.gif

Organizing events and parties should be conducted on the forums, that way people would be able to plan ahead and discuss over a longer time. It's not like we should even wait for "SeeD Day" to push the chat, if anyone wants to go to the chat all that's needed is usually a visible thread to get others' attention.

I'd better dust it off then. bluetongue.gif

... And, here's another thing that needs feedback. What will "SeeD Day"/"SeeD Week" be called? ShiftyEyes_anim.gif

Eh well if anyone wants to come into the chat now, come on in bluetongue.gif

All the more reason to use the name.
We could burn towns and get drunk (in RS). That would definitely show SeeD heritage. A screenshot contest sounds good. And chat games. Hell, how about we cram it aaallll in! :O
SeeD Parade, because it is a SeeD holiday, afterall.
