It's that time of year... uh, for our "first annual" Garden Festival.

SeeD's fifth anniversary


Cool... What will we do?
Whatever the Garden Festival Committee organizes. Oh yeah, and there will be a festive screenshot contest, and at least one big RS event on probably either the first day or the last day.

Yeah, foo'. It's where we came from. Almost everyone here has a RS account, and during that timely RS party we won't go into the wilderness, so no worries if you haven't played the game in ages. RS won't be the only place for events since SeeD is inter-game, but at least one RS event will be conducted on a significant day.

Hey, it's all from Final Fantasy VIII, where "SeeD" is from. The GFC won't be the only ones who can organize events, but they would try to coordinate (and schedule) events and contests so they all work during the week.

You actually think we can fit all the glory of SeeD's fifth anniversary into a single day? Err, maybe a more appropriate answer would be so we can do stuff with our factions without causing schedule problems, and also so we can conduct some contests that could span the week.


Do chats count as events?
Yeah... and no. Anyone can get people together in the chats at any time, and while we should go there during the Garden Festival, we shouldn't focus there. It's SeeD's anniversary, not CurvedSpace's.


Okay... This is getting interesting, but how does one join the GFC?
Just reply to this thread. I'll even add a temporary "job" entry for those in the GFC to make it sound official, and will give a commendation for it so they'll always be remembered as members of our first[ish] official GFC. If you sign up, please be sure that you can and will directly help with events, contests (if applicable), and screenshots (if applicable) in some way. If you sign up and don't wish to help, you will be misleading those looking to schedule something, and if nothing is done I may not give a commendation when this is over.

The pending date is December 1st (a Friday) through December 8th (the next Friday). It may be extended to Saturday. It was going to start a week earlier, but that is cutting things a bit too close.

It would be the easiest for everyone to get together (and it would be awesome if we can work out a bunch of RS events because of it), although most of the events in other games would probably be focused toward specific factions as opposed to SeeD as a whole. The screenshot contest would be intended to bring all of the parties together to an extent, and allow everyone to see the stuff that's going on.

They don't need to be centered around specific factions though... SeeD technically can exist in all games that our members play, even if we aren't presently organized there. I know that there's a group who plays Starcraft (where we used to have an organized faction), a few on Diablo (where we also used to have an organized faction), Counter-Strike, among other games, and they're also fair game for parties and other events.

Could I get in just on the basis that I might make a sig contest or something where you'd have to make a sig that has to do with SeeD and stuff?
