The bonus I noticed is that while they were talking about Child Predators and the dangers of the intarwebs, they would show clips from Runescape. It even went so far to briefly flash the Jagex logo!

I found all the fear-mongering hilarious, but I wanted to share the "Dangers of Jagex" with everyone.

Anywho, I didn't know that you could access porn on the PSP. I never bothered to check out it's system specs because no good games have been released for it (imo) that aren't available for a system I already have. Of course, I have no need to access porn on a psp... I'm in college!

Still, parents should keep their kids off of porn up until the age of 12, and they should definitely make attempts to stop their kids from being targeted by child predators, like us here at curvedspace! I'm glad the show isn't calling for a universal ban on videogames, but rather, a call for parents to become more responsible.

The problem isn't the access, and pretty much anything with a net connection can work, the problem is that you can see what someone does on a computer(more or less) but you can take the PSP anywhere so long as you don't lose connection. The old "monitor what your kids are doing while on the computer" does not apply anymore. I kind of understand and agree with that.

I just found it funny that Tutorial Island is a hotbed for Child Preds and Jagex is a proprietor.

It's not really the same issue with an Xbox though, since you're viewing that on a TV and thus it's just as visible to those around you as a computer monitor. I saw this video a few days ago, given what I know of american TV (and fox in particular) I'm actually a bit surprised they weren't pushing the 'games are evil' aspect more than they did. I lol'd at the Runescape footage though.

If I ever buy a PSP, it will be for media. (My all in one ipod, movie player, and portable game system.)
