I realize completely that such events cannot be available to everyone. These would be faction events or events for other groups of players, and if a member doesn't have the game in which we're having an event, obviously he/she cannot attend. Being a multi-game guild requires organization on the community level more than the game level, for our members cannot realistically play all of the games others play. This should not be a discouraging factor as long as at least a few play the same game, or if you wish to create activity there by recruiting.
With community-level support and in-game recruiting, the factions would interact and bolster each other here. That's the point of the factions, but that has not been realized because few have really seen the system this way or recruited on their own. While I'm not addressing this in particular, I'm trying to break the misconception that SeeDs belong to all factions and that they should be included somehow in everything. If that were the case, we'd never be capable of doing anything beyond the chat rooms.

Anyway, with that behind us, I'll just say that events should be the focus. In-game events, supported by the community and the things going on here. Contests are great, it's awesome to get members into the chat, and activity on the forums is always good... But without anything [semi]organized happening in the games themselves, SeeD may as well just be called CurvedSpace.
Maybe the Garden Festival will be an awakening, who knows.

... And I'm not saying to do no contests or refrain from going to the chat. Completely on the contrary, although if you can choose between something on the site and something in a game, during the Garden Festival choose something in a game.

Oh, and remember to take screenshots.

So, if you have any ideas, feel free to post them here. Remember that if you are in the Garden Festival Committee, you should take a direct part in the Garden Festival to receive a commendation for it.
As for two [and a half] things that I have planned...
- There will be a Runescape event on either the first or last day of the Garden Festival. We're a clan from Runescape. Almost everyone here has an account even if they don't play. Everything that happens during the event will be suitable for everyone, even those who have long left the game (and those with frozen bank accounts

- A screenshot contest will be held with currently undetermined rewards. They will be for festive SeeDish screenshots in any game. If you are hosting an event during the Garden Festival, it is advised that you get screenshots! Also, even if we don't have a faction or much activity in a particular game, it's okay for you to stage a one-person thing for a screenshot. In some games this may be easy, such as those with fireworks and other similar features. Screenshots help bring the happenings in our factions together for all to see.
- The half-contest will be that the fanfiction contest will be judged during the Garden Festival. Indeed, the deadline was moved to December 1st.
