I took the splurge and bought Photoreading. I found out about it from a friend, who was laughing at it, but as I looked around, I found that all the people who actually bought the tapes loved them. I've just started playing the cd's; they are excellent. There was a guy named Steve Pavlina that I found is affiliated with them. He was giving a huge discount, so I got it through him. Anyway, I'm going to keep listening.

You'll go at one page per second, which is about 25,000 words a minute.
I'm just gonna go ahead and raise the BS alarm... good luck with that.
That stat is true, but they left out some key information to get people to look at the product. The whole process is composed of 5 steps, and the photoreading step of the process is composed of 6 steps. The photoreading step goes at about 25,000 wpm, but the whole process leaves you at an average of around 5000 wpm. That's still incredibly high, since most people read around 200 wpm. "Speedreading" can bring you until 1000 wpm, but you sacrifice much comprehension. So far, its worked out as I've expected. The entire thing takes about one to two weeks to get through if you do it every day and you learn it well. I just started winter break, so if I get this done this week, there will still be plenty of time for me to try it out to study for finals.
Alright, kind of late now, should sleep.
And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!
