Seems we're going to have to use another plan for the recruitment thread. The event which was held on three days was not much of a success. The first two, no one showed up for and the third one many had to leave before the event could really get started.

So we got no pictures for the Recruitment thread.

No problem really, for now we can continue to use the older pictures in the Image Gallery. We can always update with newer photos when we become more active and have better turn outs for events.

So now its time to really start writing this thread. Now, how I was hoping to do this is by getting everyone in the team to write their own little bit. This way the thread has different ideas and is not just one person droning on about how good the faction is. bluetongue.gif And if no one helps to write this, then that will probably just be me droning bluetongue.gif

To get a real good idea on how recruitment threads are set out, just take a look at any recruitment thread in Runescape Communities such as Tip It and Runescape Community. Many good and organized clans set them out well which attracts many members to there clan. A simple "join this clan cuz its kewl" doesn't get anyone. bluetongue.gif

I want you to be inventive with this. Do it your own way but keep it clean and still on track to advertising.

Although you can write what you want, we do need to have these paragraphs included.
  • We need a paragraph about events, which includes pictures and a list of the varied events we hold.
  • A little about our community, like our site and other Factions we have.
  • Perhaps collect some quotes from people, which tells us how they enjoyed being in our Faction and what's so good about it.
These are just a few, I'm sure you could think of more.

So if you wish to write a bit for the thread, tell me what you can write here then pm it to me once you've finished it.

Make sure that you use proper spelling and grammar. bluetongue.gif You can use Microsoft Word to spell check, its not hard hehe. No one wants to join a clan who writes like this. "hi i want u to join dis clan cuz its gd an we do lots of evnts so join 2day!"

So, get cracking! bluetongue.gif

Well, if you're looking for pictures...

One of the main things about SeeD is that not only did it start because of Spontaneous actions, it kind of thrives on it. When we try scheduled events, it doesn't happen very much. If you notice a bunch of people on, then do something. If one person is on, then help them out or something. If someone else comes on, invite them to join. If a random person asks to join, let them.

You'll get pics soon enough

That could not be more true. bluetongue.gif

When I do events, to tell the truth, there is almost always a better turnout when I say something like "Get On RS Now" instead of "Planning An Event In A Week". The planned events can be better organized, but spontaneous events can usually get a more definite reaction if many are on the forums at the time. For many it's easier to say "yes" and sign on right away, as opposed to saying "yes" and planning ahead.

Heh no one is usually on til late GMT timezone though. But we'll see, I know they are a fair few SeeDs who could log in GMT timezone..

Spontaneous...sums up SeeD in a nutshell bluetongue.gif

If I can find the time (at a good time) to do it, I'll try hosting some RS events again. thumb.gif

Everyone can do it though, let's not put all the pressure on Charlie. bluetongue.gif She has a vision that I know will get us somewhere in Runescape, all she needs is a little support in the game to make it work.
