Well, Shihad's early albums are pretty good hard rock (Try and get the song 'You Again' off of the 'Killjoy' album)

Other good hard rock to try would be AC/DC, or you might even like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest.

If you want "Hardcore" stuff, then you might try As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean, Killswitch Engage, or Hatebreed. Some of those are close to the Emo genre (which I do not advocate bluetongue.gif ). If you are looking for hard rock, you might like AC/DC, Van Halen, or Guns N' Roses. As Callum said, you might even like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest, but you are heading toward Metal there.

The real emo is an offshoot of hardcore punk that sings about 'emotions' and stuff instead of about how much the government sucks like normal hardcore punk.

But emo nowadays is, well.. yeah.
