Ahoy! Have ya ever met a man with a real yardarm? In lumbridge I see tons of level 40+ Making fun of newbies. Well blow me down? A level 40 just told a level 50 to F off his house :O. In 2001 (Yeah I used to play I quit in 1 month) people were much nicer!!! Why are rs people so mean? I’ve sailed the seven seas, and you’re the sleekest schooner I’ve ever sighted.

Partly the increase in beggars and scammers, i'd say.
Partly the fact that the average combat level is a lot higher, people think they're experienced and that entitles them to make fun of those that are newer.
Possibly a change in the most common age group to be playing. Quite a few people 11-16 or so will tend to badmouth others (by no means everyone in that age group, but quite a few).

We march... We march to war... We march... We fight... We are Spartans. Blood will fall, but it will not be ours... We march... Sparta is war reborn... we are the children of war... We are Spartans.
I am Leonidas, and this is my story. I have met the wolf, felt its bite, and I have survived. These new wolves are neverending, but Sparta will show true might. Though we fall, still we will come for we are war incarnate. I have started this, and so must I finish it. Xerxes shall die, this I, Leonidas, warlord of Sparta, do say. This is the story of the 300... the story of Spartan heroism. Though we bled the ground red at Thermopolyae, still we live on.
War is Sparta, We are Spartans. We are War!

Hmm... its because of in imbalence in the levels of runescape players. Their are more ppl from 20-40 levels then there were last time. Alot of people think that the are better than the noobs, so they are mean.

Erg, Star Jedi, perhaps we could work on something that could increase awareness of noobs...well, at least not have them made fun of as much. If you have any suggestions, I would be glad to help you out...perhaps a noob day!

Well, Whenever a newbie asks me for something, I say "Wouldn't you like to be rich?" they always say yeah. So I tell them to follow me. I take them to Varrock Mie, and mine them copper and tin. I watch them smith it. I tell them to keep doign that. Then I tell them to make a plate. Then I go "There, you can make your own armor! Now train, be strong, and look into other skills!" and they either log off, and next time I see them they are in mithril or better, or are poor, but are in the highscores biglaugh.gif When I was level 30, I made a level 10 full bronze armor.. we hung out and had lots of fun... shes around level 80 now... still remembers me biglaugh.gif

So True, X Zolon...I find that noobs are SOOOO lazy these days (yeah, I know, I sound like I have been playing runescape for 40 years.) But really, all noobs do is ask you for money. I think that that is the worst thing of all; if they are EVER rewarded for this by actually getting money, they are MUCH more likely to beg and beg and beg until they get more money. Hence, I think that you taking noobs to smith copper and smith it is a great idea. I think that perhaps we should do that as an activity to help the runescape economy. This will lower the number of beggars, and increase the output of items, thus decreasing price, hopefully grnwink.gif

Yeah, I remember those days when I smithed copper and tin...those days when I had mith armour as my best...those were the good ole days. Much more fun that having everything!
