I'm supposing this means that entrance will be open on international districts, so I think we should take advantage of this and have an event or two involving trips to these places. I'm of course up for trapping the UnderWorld myself, as usual.

Players who have been looking towards The Fissure of Woe or The Underworld with an eye to its challenging gameplay and special loot will be pleased to note that this weekend offers free and open access to both areas. All statues of Grenth and Balthazar located within outposts will be active for characters who are qualified to enter these areas. Access will be at no cost, and will not be tied to a territory holding the Favor of the Gods. This free access will begin at Noon PDT on Friday, and end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday night.

Although, the downside of this is that ecto prices will drop.
I think I'll save mine for a while until they go up again, hehe.

Well, I'm done for the weekend on GW, and I made a pretty penny. Over 70k in cash from many many items, and 22 ectos! I'll be taking my spoil victor build to the hidden city so I can farm the djinni there for gems and lightbringer points. Although, I think I need a break from GW and the comp. So meh....

I think the ecto drop % decreased for the weekend, since me and another guildie didn't seem to be getting any. =\ I actually didn't get any ecto drops all weekend, although I gained a handful of skill points..

A combination of things really ruined this opportunity for me. The ecto drop rate was reduced, especially for solo runs. I barely got any solo, but when I switched to SS/55, I got a ton more. Secondly, the supply didn't increase as much as we thought. Lot's of people were expecting the price of ecto to drop, so demand rose. These two factors offset each other, and the price of ecto remained the same.
This meant a lot less ecto for me than I had originally anticipated. If not for the drop rate decrease, supply would have increased in a much greater magnitude than demand, and ecto would have become more cheap. Also, I'd have received a lot more drops. Still, I have over 200k cash and 22 of the 45 ectos I need. I just need to get shards now.
