Nope.
I am sure it has that, but not the reason I am looking for. Alot of textbooks quote it as being the biggest reason, I will say this much, involves condensation.

The friction from the gasses spinning due to the heavy storms produces huge amounts of heat, which is actually thermal radiation... I'm grasping at straws here.

There is thermal radiation converted from angular momentum, but that's not the main source (or at least the source professors pound into my head.)
