I just got back from the dentist and had a tooth pulled..... _sure.gif
I was wondering if anyone else has had one and remembers how it went, cause mine didnt hurt at all.

I wanted to know if they sewed the gums up or if they left it open and gave out some gauze. Cause mine is bleeding like a b**** and its getting kind of annoying...

It stops soon. grnwink.gif If it's bleeding hours after the pulling, I would consider calling back up the dentist...

Moving this to The Cafeteria. The Lobby is for newcomers to introduce themselves, but conversation threads such as these belong in GD or the Cafeteria. grnwink.gif

Yeah, I had to have my wisdom teeth cut out, so they stitched them up (I think it was just in the lower jaw, they might have left the upper ones open, 'cause they weren't going to be as hard to get out), and apparently it was still bleeding 'cause they stuffed my mouth with gauze, and it bled a bit more when I took the gauze out. Didn't hurt when they did it, but I was asleep. It hurt later though (but I had four teeth out too). But yeah, Dragonman's got a good point, and if you can't get the dentist, find an urgent care center or somewhere like that.

I've had 2 or 3 teeth pulled that weren't coming out on their own. No stitching, just gauze like that. Feels a bit weird, but the nerves get covered back up soon enough and it'll feel normal again.

Had my wisdom teeth pulled too, no stitches for that either. Just loads of gauze and this weird little tube I had to squirt water into the holes with to keep food out or else it wouldn't heal right.

I've never had to have any teeth taken out. Most likely won't need to get my wisdom teeth out either, since last time the dentist checked there was enough room for them to come in.

The worst I've had is cavities, and none in several years. Since they were so long ago I can't really remember what they're like either bluetongue.gif

Through our bleeding we are one.
