Well, my first year at Penn State University is now over and I think I've done quite well. I have 39-some credits (of a required 115-ish). My GPA for my first semester was a 3.64, but this semester looks to be around 3.72 or more. I still need to get a score on my japanese, and I'm expecting a B+ or an A- if I did well enough on the final. Anywho, I'm glad to have a nice break before I get back into the grind for the Fall semester.

Yes, state pennetentiary!
As for GPA, its a very strange grading system.
A = 4.0
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.0
...and so on. You average out the scores weighted by credits to get a cumulative GPA, which tells employers how well you did. In other words, it's not pass/fail.
