For a while I've been playing with an idea for an award... Not exactly "hosted forums" like we originally had, but a far more mysterious entity...

A forum with a password that changes depending on the winner(s) of various events every few months. They make the forum into whatever they want, which includes all the old threads there. The winner won't be a moderator, so the threads will all remain in one form or another, but they'd all be at the mercy of whoever won the latest event.

The winner will be able to handle his/her password however he/she wishes. The password will probably be given to those of the winner's choosing, and whatever happens within that forum stays in that forum.

I'm thinking that the first event for the most mysterious forum on CurvedSpace would go to a faction. Seems logical... The faction's leader will get the password, and it can be spread to the members of his/her faction. They would start the first threads there, and would have the forum for at least a few months.

But what kind of event or contest should we have, that involves all our factions?

Let's discuss the contest here, and once we agree on something, everyone can start going for that forum...

It's the summer (for a lot of us)... Let's have a focus of some sort on games for this event. Something cooperative. It won't always be like that, but this time let's see what we can do in the games we play.

Maybe a trivia contest in the chatroom with R2! Or perhaps a recruitment drive to see which faction can get the most active members in 2 weeks? Maybe a contest to see which faction has me in it?

To everyone, just note that the forum isn't intended to be serious. Post count will be disabled, and it would be a semi-secretive Insanity Board.

The password should be handled responsibly by the winner, because I won't be changing it under normal circumstances. While it would obviously be looked down upon by others (and I would not recommend that anyone does it)... It's possible that the password will leak. Don't expect the forum to remain 100% secure. It'll be for amusement more than for anything serious.

If one will leak a password, he/she should not expect to be invited into the forum after it is given to someone else.
